As a child grows, their smile grows with them. And even with baby teeth, it may be time for children aged 6 to 10 to start orthodontic treatment. This is known as Phase 1 treatment.

At this stage, doctors can see issues that may need early treatment to address a developing problem.

Phase 1 treatment (aged 7 to 10) for growing children with a mix of baby and permanent teeth.*
Phase 2 treatment (aged 12 up) for pre-teens and teens when most or all permanent teeth have erupted.
